Hurting Yourself Trying to Be Everything to Everyone

Sometimes we find ourselves feeling mentally and physically drained throughout the day. We often feel alone. Remember that God is always there, and you do not have to do it on your own anymore. Give it to God.

Sometimes we find ourselves feeling mentally and physically drained throughout the day. At times we think that we just need a long restful night of sleep, but in reality we need more than sleep. There are decisions that we need to make in our lives that God has been waiting for us to make. We sometimes forget that our mental and spiritual wellbeing plays a huge part in how we feel every day. It is more than just being tired, but what are you tired from? You can get all the sleep in the world, but if you have not made lifestyle changes then you will always feel drained, empty, frustrated, confused and tired.

Here are some questions that you can ask yourself if you have been experiencing spiritual and mental fatigue.

Have I been putting other things before God?

Who in my life do I need to let go, so I can get closer to God?

Do I make time for ME? Or, am I constantly putting others before me?

Have I healed from the trauma that I have been through in the past? Or, am I carrying it with me everywhere I go?

Am I still making time to pray and read my bible?

What kind of people have I been surrounding myself with?

As you are answering these questions remember nobody is perfect. Life can get challenging at times, and it will leave you feeling as though you have no control. You might even feel confused searching for the path to take because everything you have tried in the past has failed. Just remember that God is always there, and you do not have to do it on your own anymore. Give it to God. When you are answering these questions, begin lifting up your hands and say “Lord show me how to do it.” And he will!

1 Corinthians 16:13

13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.

Amen!

  1. These are really important thoughts and timely for my own journey. I have had to learn to keep G-D at the center of everything in my life. It’s the only way to remain stable and at peace. I recently felt led to start the grieving for a lifetime of losses I could never fully grieve. Now, I am finally at a time in my life where a lot of the chaos is gone and I am ready to start the process. I started attending a grief group this week and was amazed at what G-D did there. But then, He is always amazing. He is the only reason I am alive. 🙂
